112' Westport Yacht Refit Montrachet
It has truly been a whirlwind of a month at Destry Darr Designs, including the last few weeks getting started on the 112′ Westport yacht refit Montrachet.
We will lighten the original interior while retaining much of the exquisite woodwork that Wesport is known for. The brief is simple, clean and fresh and we plan a Nantucket-esque, all-white look with minimal contrast, with white painted wood paneling outboard around the portlights and on the ceilings above the beds in the staterooms and white painted trimmed flat panel headboard walls. Cherrywood floors throughout the main areas and small touches of pale blues, rattans and caning will hint at that classic elegance of a New England sailboat.
We’ve jumped right in beginning with the protection of cabinets which will remain and demo of all areas that will go and we’ve already begun constructing our new trimmed flat panel headboard walls. And there is LOTS going on behind the scenes as well! Stay tuned for more!
