Those hazy, salty days of summer...
Sunny days are here and the allure of the sea is real! This is especially true for one fabulous project that we’ve just wrapped up: Phase I of a refit aboard the 161ft Trinity, Stay Salty.
Salty Summer
Built in 2008 as Mustang Sally, Stay Salty has enjoyed a bit of celebrity status, having been featured as Eros in Season Three of the popular television reality show, Below Deck.
Her new clients purchased her in June and requested an ambitious schedule for her design updates: complete Phase I of a multi-phase refit in four weeks, after which they would embark on a four-month cruise with family and friends.
Although they have plenty of charter experience, this is the first yacht for the owners and their young children, so we focused on incorporating plenty of comfy spaces for family and friends to gather and relax.
To underscore that beautiful connection with the sea that is so inspirational, we incorporated a classic nautical look with blues and corals and pops of color throughout with unique photography and artwork. The timeless colors and decor now provide a calm backdrop upon which many family memories can be made.
Fit For Charter?
Although summer is in full swing, the winter charter season is right around the corner, and many yacht owners are contemplating offering their yachts for charter. With so much pent-up demand for charter yachts, this could be a great way to offset some running costs, but first you must make sure your yacht is fit for charter.
I often advise my clients on the “dos and don’ts” when building or refitting a yacht to suit the charter market. Thus, this month’s blog post, “Designed To Charter – Five Rules to Make Your Yacht Charter Ready” discusses the most important areas and aspects to consider when you’re ready to offer your yacht on the charter market.
From The Showroom...
We are having so much fun helping our clients and customers outfit their yachts from our brand new showroom on 17th street in the bustling Southport Shopping Center and curating some very special products from suppliers around the world.
This month’s fabulous finds? Custom leather products from Italy such as trays, boxes, tabletop games and even outdoor leather baskets for shoes and towels! The soft, hand-sewn leather exudes such a luxurious look and feel and elevates otherwise simple accessories.
