It’s Time to Get Back On the Water!

It's Time To Get Back On The Water...

Summer has nearly arrived and with it a flurry of projects wrapping up just in time for our clients to get back out on the water! We have been working nonstop – from the recent opening of our brand new showroom on 17th street in the bustling Southport Shopping Center to a variety of design and refit projects, the last few weeks have been a whirlwind – but a fun one at that!

Summer Cruising Plans

This week we delivered an 80ft Hatteras, Chelsea. We have updated this yacht with a sophisticated and comfortable new look. The owner, like so many of us, is anxious to begin a three-month vacation aboard his new yacht with family and friends after being confined to land the last few months. Stay tuned for more on this project and for photos once she returns from summer cruising!

We are working feverishly on a 161ft Trinity yacht, Stay Salty, and 112’ Westport, Hannah to get them ready for their new owners’ first trips.

The refit of Stay Salty is being completed in two phases, as I always recommend that an owner use his/her boat a few times before doing an extensive refit so they have a good feel for what they can and can not live without. So, for the first phase of this refit, we are incorporating all new bed and bath linens, materials, carpeting and interior and exterior furniture and upholstery. The owner plans to vacation for a few months before returning for the more extensive Phase 2 refit. We will keep you posted!

The owner of Hannah chose to dive into an extensive refit right off the bat and we are right in the thick of it! Be sure to check back to our News Page for more progress on this project!

The refit on the 64ft Grand Banks Paikea II is nearing completion. For this project, the owner’s brief was to comfortably accommodate as many family members as possible. Thus, we took the midship office and half bath next to the master stateroom and converted it into a full stateroom with convertible twin beds and a full head. The main salon needed to be multi-functional to accommodate both entertaining and overflow sleeping, so we removed some of the built-in furniture and bookshelves and fabricated a comfy sofa with a pull-out bed in lieu of the built-in settee. In addition to incorporating a fresh, updated look overall, we installed a functional outdoor cooking area and bars on the flybridge and aft deck. This client is looking forward to some much-needed summer cruising with his family and friends.

Whether you are staging, re-decorating or planning your yacht design, transforming your space doesn’t always have to be a massive undertaking. My latest blog post: Transform Your Space: Staging Cracker Bay With Five Often Overlooked Elements looks back on a staging project I was commissioned to do aboard the 150’ Hakvoort yacht, Cracker Bay, and how a few simple changes can make all the difference.
